
Developing female student athletes since 1999, the Pacific Steelers offer a high performance ice hockey program dedicated to elite standards, allowing players to live and study at home so they can access the highest educational standards, while playing against
the best competition for their age in North America.

The Pacific Steelers Hockey Club aims to deliver transformative experiences and serve as a launching pad for female athletes, aged 16-19, looking to play University-level hockey and unlock their full potential.
Our mission is to deliver a hockey journey that combines elite development with real-world exposure—empowering young women to thrive in sport, education, and life.

The Junior Women's Hockey League has been developing student athletes since 2007. The JWHL was established specifically to provide opportunities to young female athletes through elite level competition and exposure to world-class academic institutions.
We compete and visit campuses in Ontario, Quebec, New York, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Washington DC.

Coach Dayna serves as Head Coach and General Manager of the Pacific Steelers Junior Female Hockey Club, bringing more than a decade of high-performance coaching, leadership, and player development experience to the program. Known for her strong hockey IQ and athlete-centered approach, Dayna combines technical excellence with a deep commitment to building confident, accountable players, both on and off the ice.
Dayna has held senior leadership roles across junior, minor, and elite development pathways, including GM & Head Coach of the BC Jr Lady Canucks and Director of Hockey with Whistler Minor Hockey Association. She has also led numerous high-level development programs as Head Instructor for Team Pacific Elite Spring Program, North Shore Female Ice Hockey, and Squamish Minor Hockey Association, and has contributed to female hockey growth with Surrey Female Hockey and Abbotsford Female Hockey.
A member of the BC Hockey Private Instructor Association, Dayna is widely respected for her ability to align long-term athlete development with competitive success, fostering environments where athletes feel supported, challenged, and inspired.
As a player, Dayna competed at the NCAA level with the RIT Tigers, serving as team captain from 2007–2009, and later captained the Pacific Steelers Junior Female Hockey Club, an experience that continues to shape her leadership philosophy today.

Coach Giles brings over 15 years of experience in the game and 8 years of coaching at the rep level, with a strong focus on athlete development, accountability, and high-performance standards. He has coached extensively within the North Shore Avalanche program, working with rep-level athletes and supporting players through key stages of

Lucas has also contributed to hockey development through the North Vancouver Hockey Association, the BC Hockey Program of Excellence, and the North Shore Warriors Academy, gaining experience across minor hockey, elite training environments, and structured development pathways.
In addition, Lucas serves as Manager of the Pacific Coast Amateur Hockey Association Female District Development Program, where he plays a key role in overseeing athlete identification, development planning, and program leadership within the female hockey pathway.
Known for his clear communication and detail-oriented approach, Lucas emphasizes skill development, hockey sense, and character, creating competitive environments that support both individual growth and team success.

Coach Beck is a professional goaltender and elite goalie coach with extensive experience across major junior and professional hockey. A Whistler, BC native (born 1999), Beck brings a modern, detail-driven approach to goaltending development shaped by years of high-performance training and competition.

Beck is affiliated with the Whistler Minor Hockey Association, where he works with the Winterhawks Skills Program, supporting goaltenders through technical development, game preparation, and confidence-building. He also serves as a Goaltending Coach with the Squamish Minor Hockey Association, contributing to goalie development within the minor hockey pathway.
As a player, Beck competed at the highest levels of junior and professional hockey. He spent five seasons in the Western Hockey League with the Tri-City Americans and the Edmonton Oil Kings from 2015–2020. He later signed an AHL contract with the Chicago Wolves in 2020 and gained professional experience in both the American Hockey League and ECHL.
Known for his calm presence and technical expertise, Beck is passionate about mentoring the next generation of goaltenders and helping athletes develop strong habits, resilience, and confidence at every stage of their hockey journey.
